What do we do?

•    FOSTER RESEARCH – We strive to gather and preserve genealogical information relating to our county.
•    CONNECT COMMUNITIES – We seek to foster a mutual cooperation between all local historical societies, museums and historians within the borders of Allegany County so that the public may discover and engage our rich story.
•    PROMOTE AWARENESS – We promote, plan, and conduct events that give the general public greater insights into the rich history that has shaped our communities.
•    SUSTAIN KNOWLEDGE – We are committed to running a sustainable organization that can be a successful advocate for historical preservation in our region.
