Genesee Valley Canal Mass MeetingMASS MEETING – The citizens of Western New York and Western Pennsylvania, opposed to the abandonment of the Genesee Valley Canal, will meet in convention, at the town hall, in the village of Olean, on Wednesday.  February 28th, 1877, at one o’clock, P.M.  All localities interested are requested to send delegates.  It is proposed to review the report of the late Commissioners, and present to the Legislature in authorative form, facts, and figures, favorable to the maintenance of said canal, so long as the interests of the people demands.  (Signed by over one hundred prominent citizens of Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties.)
