Obituary for Rex S. "Buddy" Fullam, Jr.

REX S. “BUDDY” FULLAM JR , 84 of Wellsville passed away Monday, May 31, 2004 at the Buffalo VA Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born February 2, 1920 in Montpelier, VT, the son of Rex A. and Mary (Tewksbury) Fullam. He owned and operated three successful businesses in Wellsville; Rex Photo Service, Rex Advertising, and Rex Office Supply. During WWII, he served in the Army, earning the Bronze Star for bravery. Rex attended the Yorks corners Mennonite Church. Rex is survived by his wife of 62 years, Irene; 4 sons: Rex III (Donna) of Stony Creek, NY; Roger of Wellsville; Randall (Wendy) of Ohio; Robin (Madelene) of Harrisville, NY; 2 daughters: Roxanne (Henry) Jedraszczak and Rena (Greg) Coryell of Florida; a brother: Everett of Florida; 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He will forever be remembered as “Buddy-Buddy” to his grandchildren and all his “little friends”. He was predeceased by a son: Robert, a grandson: Michael, and a sister: Virginia Robertson. Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Wellsville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with his son, Rev. Rex A. Fullam III and Rev. Eugene Miller presiding. Burial will be in WoodlawnCemetery, Wellsville with full military honors. Memorial suggestions include the American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Drive, Suite 102, Amherst, NY 14226.
