Mrs. Mark Kemp Dies In Hornell Hospital

Mrs. Mark [Ethel Clair] Kemp died Wednesday evening, June 7, 1950 in the St. James Mercy hospital, Hornell, following an illness of about a year. She had been a resident here for the past 37 years.

Mrs. Kemp was born in the Town of Amity March 18, 1895 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Clair.

She was united in marriage June 10, 1914 with Mark Kemp of Andover, who survives, together with three sons, Clyde Kemp of Belmont, Arthur Kemp of Andover and Roland Kemp of Mt. Morris; a daughter, Mrs. Jean M. Greene of Allentown, her father, a sister, Mrs. Wayne Saunders of Belmont and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Kemp was a member of the Andover Methodist church and the Andover Firemen’s Auxiliary.

The body is at the James B. Mulholland funeral home in Andover where friends may call and where services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30. The Rev. Chester W. Whitt will officiate and burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery, Belmont.
