Death of Mrs. D. C. Phillips (Mary Oviatt Phillips)

Mrs. D. C. Phillips, widow of the late D. C. Phillips and daughter of Daniel Oviatt of this town, died on Wednesday evening last at the residence of her brother D. B. Oviatt of consumption. Her age was forty two. Mrs. Phillips was the last survivor of her family proper. Her husband died about two years since, and there were never any children by the union. She has long been an active and prominent member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and has been Secretary of the Pennsylvania Tract and Missionary Society since its organization. Her work has been the work of the earnest Christian. Bearing cheerfully the Cross, she has inherited the Crown, and has gone hence to a bright reward.

The funeral it to be observed tomorrow at 11 am from the Adventist church.
