Sarah A. PhillipsMrs. Sarah A, Phillips of Beach Hill who has been in failing health for some time. passed to tho higher life the 2nd of February [1907], her 75th birthday. She was born at Dryden N. Y, Feb. 2nd, 1832, being the daughter of Samuel Johnson and Susana Teater. At the age of twenty came to the Town of Willing, and in tho year 1856 she was married to Bradley Phillips, who died Jan. 16, 1895. Three children were born to them: Ferd J., who died Aug 7, 1890; Ella Mae, the wife of Rhomanyne Slawson, who died Sept. 27, 1894, and Frank, who survives her. She is also survived by a son-in-law, Mr. Slawson; and a brother, Samuel Johnson, of Columbus, Ohio, besides a host of other relatives and dear friends.

The funeral was held in the presence of a large circle of friends, on the following Tuesday, from the house, where she had lived nearly 43 years. Rev. Jas. Herrick, of Whitesville, pastor of the Universalist church, officiated. The male quartet sang. Interment was in the family plot near the home, beside her husband and two children.
