HARRY WILLIAM SCHEITHAUER
Harry William Scheithauer died May 5, 2016 at the Gardens of Venice, Venice, Sarasota County, Florida. He was born September 23, 1926 in Hornell to Arnold and Genevieve Hurne Scheithauer.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son James in 1958, and his brothers James in 1931 and Robert in 1999.
He married Georgianna Glover, daughter of A. Ross and Daphne Gelser Glover, on Oct 16, 1948 at the First Baptist Church in Canaseraga, NY. She survives along with their son David Scheithauer (Susie) of Ohio, and brother John of Florida.
Harry graduated from Arkport High School. Harry served in the U.S. Navy with duty aboard submarines during World War II. He was an electrician’s mate in the South Pacific area with two years of service. Harry was a signalman maintenance chief with the Delaware, Lackawana and Western Railroad Company.
Harry lived in Arkport, Canaseraga, New Jersey, Ohio, and finally at the La Casa Park in Northport, Florida.
A memorial service was held in Venice, Florida. Harry was cremated with burial with his son Jimmy to follow at a later date at the Canaseraga Cemetery
