The house at 33 South Main Street in Alfred, built by Alpheus Burdick Kenyon and his father-in-law, Martin Wilcox Babcock, in 1873 and 1874.

 


 

From G. Douglas Clarke- These are Martin Wilcox Babcock's tools.  He is our great-great-grandmother Mary's husband who, along with his son-in-law Alpheus Burdick Kenyon, built the family home at 33 South Main Street in Alfred.  It has been a two-family residence since it was built.  Each tool is stamped with his initials, M.W.B.
