Former Resident of Bolivar Died at North Cuba, Thursday Evening age 87 Years. Burial at Belvidere

Franklin J. Burdick died at North Cuba, Thursday evening April 25. Mr Burdick was born in Cortland Co. NY May 7, 1819 He married in 1840 Mary, daughter of William and Phoebe Wilson of Angelica. Two children were born to them, Helen, Josephine and Alba Elton. In 1830 Mr Burdick came to Bolivar where he lived until 1856 then moving to Angelica where he followed black-smithing and farming. In 1888 he bought the Ingalls farm on the North Cuba road where he has lived
with his son and family. About two weeks ago Mr. Burdickwas taken seriously ill with bladder trouble which caused his death. He was a very pleasant, kind man always speaking a good work for everyone. He made many fast friends and will be greatly missed in the community. The funeral services were held in the Episcopal Church at Belvidere, Saturday, Rev. Allen C. Prescott of Cuba officiati8ng. The remains were placed in the family lot beside his wife and daughter.

Note:  It is believed that F. J. Burdick is buried at the Christ Church Episcopal Cemetery, Belvidere NY. beside his wife, Mary Wilson Burdick.
