WELLSVILLE -- Clifford C. Green, 87, passed away Sunday (May 11, 2003) in the Highland Healthcare Center. Born January 11, 1916, in Sharon Township, Pa. she was a son of Chester and Hazel Bump Green. OnSept. 8, 1973 in Wellsville he married Jean Galutia who survives.

Mr. Green worked in the oil field, logged timber and worked construction for Otis Eastern and Joyce Brothers both of Wellsville. Mr. Green also worked for Jackson and White drilling water wells. He retired from the Green Thumb Program where he worked for the Belmont Housing Action Corp. and as a maintenance helper at the Wellsville High School.

Mr. Green enjoyed gardening, farming and horse pulling. he especially enjoyed spending time with his best friend Prince. Mr. Green was a past President of the "Dads of Foreign Service Veterans" through the VFW Post 2530.

Surviving Mr. Greene besides his wife are five daughters, Barb (Robert) Stuck of Newport Richie, FL., Rebecca (Elmer) Rogers of Zephyr Hills, FL., Linda (Mchael) Williams of West Valley, FL., Sharon Chase of Commerce City, CO., Janice (Ronald) Yocum of Franklinville, six sons Clifford (Hollie) Green of Machias, Matthew (Toni) Wlasniewski of Hamburg, Timothy Wlasniewski of Syracuse, Theodore (Renda) Wlasniewski of Andover, Thomas (Sue) Wlasniewski of Belmont, Joel (Terry) Wlasniewski of Andover, thirty-two grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, two brothers Wade Green, Clyde (Polly) Greene of Cuba and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Mr Green was pre-deceased by a brother Arnold Green and two sisters Marion Madison and Mildred Whitehill all of Wellsville.

Friends will be recieved in the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Inc. #296 N. Main Street Wellsville, Wednesday, May 14, 2003 from 2-4 adn 7-9 p.m. where funeral and committal serices will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Roger Gardner of the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church in Eldred will officiate. Burial will be in Stannards Cemetery, Stannards.
