HUGH V. GLEASON of Ceres passed away September 29 at his home following a hear attack. He was stricken on his return from work as a supervisor of the paint line at Vilco Furniture corporation in Eldred where he had been employed for the last seventeen years.
Mr. Gleason was born in Ceres July 21, 1916, a son of John E.and Amber Maxson Gleason. He married Ruth Osborne November 1, 1941 at Portville and was a life long resident of Ceres.Teh was a member of the Ceres Methodist and a veteran of world war two.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Dwight, Dean and Denis all at home; his mother,Mrs. John E. Gleason of Ceres; three brothers, Hal and James of Ceres and Ronald of Freedom. Another brother, Rupert Gleason died August 21, 1964. Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Emma Gleason and Mrs. Thelma (Francis Leeland) Keech, both of Ceres.
Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at 2:00 by Rev. George Snow, pastor of the Ceres Methodist church and the remains were laid to rest in the Ceres cemetery.
