Obituary

Bolivar Breeze - April 20, 1944, page 1, column 3:
Funeral rites held here Sunday for Cassius M. Jordan at Loop Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. M.L. Casler, United Brethren Church officiated.  The pall bearers were Leon and Percy JORDAN (cousins), Walt Stewart, Hubert Cass, L.F. Fitzrick and J. J. Monahan.
Mr. Jordan, retired farmer, died at his home in Clarksville, at  3:30 Friday morning, April 14, after being in failing health for about a year.  He was 85 years old.  He had lived on farm all of his life.  Born in Clarksville Feb. 17, 1859, he was son of John J. and Almira Davie Jordan.  Surviving are 10 children (sic): Glenn and Rose from Portville; Jesse and Herbert, Friendship; Dewey, Richburg, Hazel Potter, Allentown, Myra and Lillian Jordan, Olean; Ted, Clarksville and Lee, Ceres; also five nephews and nieces.  His wife former Ida L. Kingsbury, died April 22, 1943.
Attending funeral were relative and friends from Richburg, Friendship, West Clarksville, Portville and Olean.  Burial in West Genesee Cemetery [Obi]

Note:  A son, Guy Clifford b 7 Jul 1910 was omitted from this obituary
