R.D. McCutcheon dies of injuries

WELLSVILLE-- Roland Duke McCutcheon, 303 W. Green St. died in the Jones Memorial Hospital Sunday morning (May 26, 1946) as a result of injuries when he was struck by a truck on Main St. here last Tuesday night.

Mr. McCutcheon whose home was in Olean, was employed on the engineering staff of the Worthington Pump and Machinery manufacturing Corporation here.

Born Nov. 22, 1889 at Alma NY, Mr. McCutcheon spent 12 years in Detroit and 17 years in the employ of Moore Steam Turbine Company in Wellsville before entering the employ of the Worthington Corporation.

He is survived by his wife and three daughters. Nancy McCutcheon, Phyllis McCutcheon and Carol McCutcheon, at home: his stepmother, Mrs R.A. (Ethel) McCutcheon, Allentown: one brother Granville McCutcheon, Oil City PA: two sisters, Mrs. Ira Williams, Salem, WV and Mrs. J. Morris, Greentree, PA

Mr. McCutcheon was a member of the Wellsville Lodge of the Benevelent and Protective Order of Elks and Of Newark, NJ  Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Private funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon (May 28, 1946) at the Embser Funeral Parlors, Wellsville. The Rev. Elmer Krentz, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wellsville will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Wellsville.
