Richard M. Morris

Centerville – Richard M. Morris, died Friday (April 13, 1979) in Wyoming Community Hospital, Warsaw.

Born May 27, 1900 in Centerville, he was a son of Richard and Ellen Bishop Morris.  He married the former Irene Miller, who survives.

Mr. Morris was a retired construction worker; and he had attended the Higgins Wesleyan Church.

Surviving besides his widow, are a son, David Morris of Churchville; four daughters, Mrs. Roy (Jean) Grisewood of Gainsville, Mrs. Edward (June) Barkley of Mount Morris, Mrs. David (Patricia) Redmond of Penrose, Australia, and Mrs. Dean (Bonita) Stenshorn of Gainsville; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild; a brother Irving Morris of Nunda; three sisters, Mrs. Arvina Webster of Fillmore, Mrs Ruth Van Slyke of Warsaw, and Mrs. Charles (Vivian) Cleveland of Delevan.

Friends will be received at the Kopler  Funeral Home 21 N. Genesee Street Fillmore, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm where funeral services will be held Sunday (April 15, 1979) at 1 pm.  The Rev. Nelson D. Crowell pastor of Fillmore Wesleyan Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Gary Hicks pastor of Higgins Wesleyan Church.  Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery.
