Accident at Scio.
Nelson A. Potter Instantly Killed!
A sad accident occurred at Potter Bros. saw and shingle mill, located about 2 miles from the village of Scio, on the Knights Creek road, on Friday afternoon last, resulting in the instant death of Nelson A. Potter. He was plaining (SIC) lumber, when one of the knives broke into several pieces, one of the pieces being thrown with great force against his right side, piercing his right lung, killing him instantly. He was 36 years of age, and a man held in high esteem by all who knew him. He leaves a wide and three children to mourn his untimely death. He was a consistent Mason and was burried (SIC) with Masonic ceremonies on Sunday afternoon last.
