Obituary for Gilbert M. Taylor, Sr.

Gilbert M. Taylor, Sr. of Allentown died at his home yesterday after an illness of several years. He was 75 years old.
Born in Alma, he spent most of his life there. He was employed by Patterson and Mitchell Co. as an oil worker until his retirement in 1951.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lina Quick Taylor; four daughters, Mrs. Guy Day of Girvin, Tex., Mrs. Clarence Bailey of Eagle Pass, Tex., Mrs. Carl Smith of Shinglehouse, Pa., and Mrs. Edwin VanDruff of Allentown; three sons, Gilbert Taylor, Jr. of Andover, Floyd Taylor of Brunswick, Ga., and Glen Taylor of Youngstown; two brothers, Isaac Taylor of Alma and Wayne Taylor of Shinglehouse; five sisters, Mrs. Ralph Olmstead of Derrick City, Pa., Mrs. Blanche Lunn of Wellsville, Mrs. Ethel Gorton of Alma, Mrs. Henry Trette of Shinglehouse and Mrs. Donald Scott of Alma; 56 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the family home, where funeral services will held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Carlton Spencer of Lima will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
