Strittmather, Frances E. Lynch

BELMONT -- Frances E. Lynch Strittmather, 91, formerly of 33 Milton Street, died Monday (April 28, 2003) at the Highland Healthcare Center in Wellsville.

She was born August 11, 1911, in Belmont, a daughter of Terrence R. Lynch and Grace O. (Rodgers) Lynch She was married on February 24, 1962, in Belmont, to Leo A. Strittmather who died April 11, 1969.

She attended the Belmont School.

She was a former employee of the Belmont Dispatch, J.J. Newberry's in Wellsville and Jones Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, in Belmont, and a member of the St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Dorothy A. Schmelzer, of Belmont, two stepsons, Albert (Margaret) Strittmather, of Belmont and Leo (Donna) Strittmather of Vermilion, OH., six step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren, one brother, Robert Lynch of HoHoKus, NJ., several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Melissa (Kurt)( Lyman VonKleist of Russell, PA.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., in Belmont, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Services will start at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with a Prayer Service at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church in Belmont. The Reverend Dennis Mancuso will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church in Belmont or to the Amity Rescue Squad.
