Marion Phyllis Swarthout Weidner
Marion Phyllis Swarthout Weidner, 95, of Beaver Falls, Pa., formerly of Erie, went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2014.
Born February 7, 1919 in Jamestown, New York, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Sophia Link Swarthout. She was married to Wellmington Weidner on February 25, 1939. She graduated from Allentown High School in 1935 and Westbrook Commercial Academy in 1937. She retired from Mutual of New York Insurance Company in 1985. She lived for many years in Erie, Pennsylvania and had been an active member of the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. Most recently, she had been a member of Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters-in-law, Linda Weidner and Theresa Weidner; and a son-in-law, William Hutley.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Lee Volkmar, Beaver Falls; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jeffrey John Weidner, Roanoke, Virginia, James Paul (Kristine) Weidner, Hancock, Michigan; a foster daughter, Priscilla Hutley, Jamestown, New York; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Julie DeLuca, Lori (Riley) Fiedler, Jennifer (Bobby) Wimmer, Adam Weidner, Deb Hasson, Bill (Mindy) Hutley, Missy (Pat) Johnston; two great-grandchildren, William (Joanna) Miller and Miranda Fiedler; and one great-great-granddaughter, Athena Miller.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hill & Kunselman Funeral Home, www.hillandkunselman.com., 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church. 409-11th Street, Beaver Falls, with her pastor, Rev. Kim Rapczak, officiating.
Private interment will follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery.
