The photos presented in this Wittie Collection pages are from the original negatives done by the late Dick Wittie, Photographer, from Andover, NY. Dick traveled to many racetracks as a professional photographer of the day and officially represented many of the tracks.
The negatives are owned by Dick's widow, Neva Wittie, and son Marty Wittie. It is through their generosity that we are able to share the photos.The original negatives were loaned to William A. Greene of Andover who has painstakingly restored them to as close as original form and produced the works shown here. I personally thank Neva and family for allowing us to publish them here for perhaps the first time as a collection. Most of the photos have no caption since we at the website do not know who the drivers and people photographed are.
