Harold C. Barney, Sr., of RD 2 Andover was dead on arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital , Wellsville after an apparent heart attack.
He was born at Independence Nov. 29, 1892, a son of John and Lillie Clark Barney.On Nov.29, 1916, he married the former Osee Billings who survives.
Mr. Barney was a farmer.
He was a member of the Hallsport Christian Church, the Hallsport Grange, where he was a 60 year member; the Allegany County Farm Bureau; and a life member of the Allegany-Steuben Holstein-Freisian Association.
Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Violet) Leonard of Little Genesee, two sons, Harold Barney, Jr. of Hallsport and Howard Barney of Andover., nine grandchildren and 11 great-grand children; and several nieces and nephews.
