Abraham Brosius Death 1877

Abraham Brosius, a lad 14 years of age, was found dead beside the railroad track in this place on Saturday morning the 10th inst. He left this place a few days since to visit a brother who resides in the town of Whitesville, and was returning when his journey came to a sad end. It is not known upon what train he was returning. It appears he was out of money and was working his way through. He had in his possession a bible, slate, letters &c. The coroner's inquest was held at the depot on the afternoon of the same day. The jury rendered a verdict that "he came to his death by jumping or falling from a car." The injury received was upon the back part of the head. He leaves a mother, sister and two brothers residing in this town who sincerely mourn his sad, sad fate.
