BOLIVAR—Mrs. Harold J. Childs, 60, of 106 Wellsville St., died in Cuba Memorial Hospital early Sunday, Jan. 12, 1969, after a brief illness. She had been hospitalized since Wednesday

Born in Bolivar June 3, 1908, she was the daughter of Lovilo E. and Hannah Lou Wolfe Smith. She graduated from Alfred University with a degree of bachelor of arts in 1929, and was a member of Pi Alpha Pi sorority.

Mrs. Childs lived in Buffalo for several years during the Thirties, where she was married to Harold J. Childs. He died Aug. 30, 1958.

In 1937 Mrs. Childs moved back to Bolivar with her family. She was a member of Bolivar United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Laurence A (Marilyn) Lester, of Friendship, and Mrs. (Alice) Smith, of Hornell; a step-son, Harold J. Childs, of Hillsborough, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo.
