Muriella V. Dolph

ANDOVER -- Muriella V. Dolph, 90, of 487 State Route 417 East died Sunday (May 4, 2003) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

She was born April 8, 1913, in the Town of Wirt, a daughter of John T. LeBar and Hazel M. (Sanford) LeBar.

On October 8, 1928, in Scio, she married Byron A. Dolph who predeceased her on August 4, 1990.

Muriella was a former resident of the Brown Road, in Wellsville, Alaska, Erie, PA. and moved to Andover in 1982. She was employed as a crane operator in Buffalo during World War II, operated a proprietary home in Stannards for several years and was a caregiver at various nursing homes in Wellsville.

Surviving are one brother Leslie (Carol) Monahan of Andover, five grandchildren, Elaine (Clair) Slawson of Ulysses, PA., Linda (Randy) Young of Hornell, David Dolph of Hornell, John Dolph of Dansville, and Timothy Dolph of Avon, nine great grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one son, Keith W. Dolph on November 3, 1980, and five brothers and sisters, LaDorna Pendleton, Arnold LeBar, Phyllis Carlin, Russell Monahan and Ronald Monahan.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 7 p.m.. to 9 p.m. at the J.W. Embser Sons Funeral Home Inc., in Wellsville, where a funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Reverend Carl Kemp will officiate.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Andover.

Memorials may be made to the SPCA Serving Allegany County.
