Nettie M. Gilbert

_____________

Nettie M.Gilbert, daughter of Hiram B. and Sophia E. Gilbert, was born in the town of Farmersville on May 6, 1866, and died of tuberculosis following influenza on March 22,1919. She leaves two brothers, Eddy C. and D. L. Wilmot. When she was a few months old, her parents returned to the farm in Rushford which was her home a large part of her life. She united with the Methodist Episcopal church on September 1,1895, during the pastorate of T.W Chandler, and was a devoted member of the church of her choice. She was also a faithful member of the Cynthian club, attending its meetings whenever her health permitted. She was active in manner, and cheery and social in disposition. Of her it might be said, "She hath done what she could". On a beautiful, sunny day- it was on such a day that she was born - funeral was held at the home of Mrs. Frona L.Wilmot, The Rev. John S. Brown of the Methodist church officiating and she was laid to rest in the family lot in the Rushford cemetery.
