MRS. ROY PETERS

Mrs. Matilda Peters, 93, of 115 E. State St. died in Jones Memorial Hospital on Tuesday (April 25, 1972) following a long illness.

Born in New Castle, Pa., Oct. 24, 1878, she was daughter of Albertus and Mary Lawrence. She lived for many years in Eldred, Pa. where she was a bookkeeper for the Eldred State Bank, moving to Wellsville three years ago.

Mrs. Peters was married to Roy Peters, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a step-son, Ronald Peters of Eldred; two step-daughters, Mrs. Madeline Barton of Colmar Manor, Md., and Mrs. Charlotte Miller of Waldorf, Md.; and two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Bowen and Mrs. Edna Cummings, both of Wellsville.

Friends are being received at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday by Rev. William P. Dodd, Jr., rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Wellsville.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Eldred.
