Victor B. Perkins (December 25, 1978)

Victor B. Perkins, of 70 Riverview Heights, Wellsville, was pronounced dead on arrival at Jones Memorial Hospital early Monday.

                He was born in the Town of Wellsville June 12, 1908, a son of Burritt and Estella Browning Perkins.

                He had spent most of his life in Scio-Wellsville area, and he had been employed in the local oil fields and the Erie Railroad shops in Hornell and most recently the Air Preheater Corp., from which he retired in 1973. 

                He was a member of the Christian Temple Church.

                On Aug. 1 1936 he married the former Martha Miller, who survives.

                Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Marilyn) Arnold of Alma; a son. Lyle E. Perkins of Scio; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Carlton Coats of Beach Hill, Mrs. Edward Brewster if Whitesville, and Mrs. Wayne Hallett of Addison; and several nieces and nephews.

                Friends may call at the Embser Funeral Home Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  The funeral service will take place at the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Peter Moon, pastor of the Christian Temple.  Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Scio.

                Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
