EVELYN JOYCE SCHOONOVER

Belmont--Evelyn Joyce Schoonover of 5252 Corbin Hill Road, Belmont, fied Friday Jan, 24, 1997 at her sister's home in Belmont following a long illness.

Born on Feb 2, 1931 on the Alma Hill in Alma, N.Y., she was the daughter of George and Florence Terette Quick. ON Feb 10, 1951, at the United Brethren Church, Alma she married Earl Schoonover who survives.

She worked at Olean General Hospital for 33 years as an aide and therapist, retiring in 1988, Shemoved to Florida and worked for Kmart for two years.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Olean.

Beside her husband she is survived by two sons, Norman (Doris) Schoonover of St, Mary's, Ohio, and Ronald (Lynne) Schoonover of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren: five sisters, Mildred (Arthur) Lewis of Apache Junction, Ariz., Margaret (Robert) Cornelius of Wellsville, Waneta (Ralph) Hardy of Allentown,  Betty (George Wesley) Childs of Portville, and Mrs. Lucille (Carl) Dickerson of Belmont, a brother, Julius Quick of Wellsville, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc, of 1303 E state St, Olean, Sunday January 26, 1997 from noon to 2 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services were held. The Rev.Larry Lawrence, Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene officiated.  Burial will be in Main Settlement Cemetery, Portville.
