Wood—In Independence N. Y., Jan 1, 1883 of liver difficulty, Martha, wife of Russell Wood.
She was born in Broadalbin, Fulton Country, N.Y. in 1805, and was married in Herkimer County in 1821, and had been a resident of Independence for 43 years. She was a daughter of Elder Nathanal Perkins, a free-will Baptist minister, who formerly lived in Independence, and was the last of the family. She professed faith in Christ when young, and in death found Him precious. She leaves a husband, two sons and a daughter. J.K.
