"There is a new addition in Wirt! A model of the old historic Grand Lady Liberty of national and world wide fame in the NY harbor.
Keith and Midge Rumsey, with the help of their son-in-law, Blane Berry have carved the Statue Of Liberty from a Maple tree in their front yard on East Hill Road just east of the Inavale Grange.
They finished the project this past June, and it is a beauty! One the entire village and township can be proud! I am enclosing a photo of Lady Liberty with Keith standing beside her.
My wife and I were in Richburg last month and heard about it, so had to drive by and have a look for ourselves. We were pleased to find Keith at home, so took this photo."
