Hugh B. Deyoe, Allentown Dies
FRIENDSHIP--Hugh Bradley Deyoe, Allentown, died in the Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville Sunday (September 8, 1946). He had been a patient in the hospital for the past two weeks.
Mr. Deyoe was born in West Clarksville, April 7, 1898, the son of William and Armina Hubbard Deyoe, He was employed for a number of years by the Drake Manufacturing Company, Friendship and operated a general merchandise store in Allentown for 17 years.
He was a member of Allegany Lodge, No. 225, Free and Accepted Masons, Friendship, of the Allentown Fire Department, The Loyal Order of Moose Legion, Wellsville.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Ruby Deyoe and Miss Ruth Ellen Deyoe, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Ralph Sawyer, Hornell; Mrs. T.J. Butts, West Clarksville and Mrs Harold Sanborn Friendship; one brother, J. L. Deyoe, Pine Bluff N. C. and several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Davis Funeral Home at Friendship where it will remain until noon on Wednesday (September 11, 1946) and where friends may call. It will then be taken to the Allentown Methodist Church where it will be in state until two o'clock at which time the funeral services will be held. The Reverend J. B. Ennis will officiate and the Masonic ritual will be conducted by Allegany Lodge, F. and A. M. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
