Asher Mandeville Hills


Asher Mandeville Hills, who died at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 27, 1911, at the home of his brother, Eugene Hills, on the Trapping Brook Road, was born in Wellsville on Jan. 13, 1877, and was a lifelong resident of this place, with the exception of about three years spent in California. He was thirty years of age and was the son of Mandeville Hills. Deceased is survived by a brother, Eugene Hills, and a sister, Mrs. Dana Richards, both of Wellsville. Mr. Hills was a member of the Church of Christ, Broad Street, having joined in 1898. He was also a member of the Wellsville Aerie No. 90, F.O.E.
The funeral will be held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Dana Richards, on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Charles Filson will officiate. Interment will be at Woodlawn.
