WILLIAM P. MARVIN
William P. Marvin died Thursday at his home at 91 Maple St., following a long illness. He was 75 years old.
Born in Almond, he was engaged in farming there until 1943 when he came to Hornell and worked as a carpenter for approximately 20 years. He was a former trustee of the Arkport Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtie Sanford Marvin; a foster son, George Meyers of Arkport RFD 1; and two nieces who he and his wife raised, Mrs. Elmer VanSkiver of Jasper and Mrs. Douglas Evans of Syracuse; and three foster grandchildren.
The body is at the Robertson Funeral Home in Hornell. It will be removed to the Arkport Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Monday for funeral and committal services at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.
