Wolfgang (Bill) H. Miesner

YORKS CORNERS – Wolfgang (Bill) H. Miesner, 51, died Sunday (Jan. 29, 1984) as the result of injuries sustained in a logging accident near his home.

He was born in Astoria, Long Island, the son of John H. and Marie Peters Miesner. In Sergantsville, NJ on Nov. 26, 1955, he married Barbara Herman, who survives.

A resident of the Town of Willing for the past twelve years, he was employed as a general contractor. He previously lived in White House Station, NJ.

Wolfgang Miesner served as a sergeant in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsville and was chairman of the Lay Ministers, a member of the church choir, and a member of the Trinity Couples’ Club.

Also surviving are two daughters, Marie A. Miesner of Wellsville and Heidi R. Miesner, at home; a son, Henry J. Miesner of Big Pine Key, Fla.; his parents of Wellsville; and an aunt.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the J. W. Embser Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Donald K. Schroeder, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Yorks Corners Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the First Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
