Lael Ordway

BOLIVAR--Lael Ordway of Horserun Road died Thursday (Oct. 7, 1982) in her home following a lengthy illness.

Born Oct. 30, 1897, in Alma, she was the daughter of Julius and Agnes Rocktaschel Quick.

On June 7, 1927 in Emporium, Pa., she married Pete Ordway who died in 1969.

She was a lifelong resident of the Bolivar area.  She retired in 1954 from Acme Electric of Cuba.  She was a member of the Richburg First Day Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Patrice) Wright of Little Genesee; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Vida Dickerson of Alma; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Schaffner Funeral Home in Bolivar, where funeral and committal services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, with John R. Thomas, pastor of the Richburg First Day Church, and David Parsons, pastor of the Little Genesee Faith Bible Church, offficiating.

Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Bolivar.
