HARLEY L. SANFORD

HORNELL-Harley L. “Slim” Sanford,71, of 5 Main Street., died Tuesday(, June 28, 1983), after being stricken at his home. A native of the Town of Burns, he had lived all his life in the Hornell area. He retired in 1974 from the former Firestone Tire Co., store.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kay Sanford; five sons, James of Auburn, California., Harley of Cleveland, Ohio, Robert, Philip and Roy, all of Hornell; five daughters; Mrs. Elizabeth Cunningham, Lenox, Kansas,Mrs. JoAnn Ross of Rochester, Mrs. Frances Holley of Cohocton, Mrs. Judy Guidara of Altoona, Pa., and Mrs, Deborah Edmond of Dansville, a sister, Mrs. Hugh Lacy of Garwoods; a brother, Bryce of Wayland RD 1; 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Landon- Beaver Funeral Home in Hornell; where a service will be Friday at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.
