In Memoriam William H. Withey a charter member of this association , died at his home in Allentown, NY, March 23, 1922, aged 57 years. For more than 30 years he had been engaged in the oil business as lease employee, oil well contractor and producer in the Allegany field.He had "drilled in" several hundred wells in his time and his extensive knowledge was gained from actual experience. He was a genial, friendly man and his promises were always redeemed at par. Many, Many friends mourn his passing.
