Mrs. Harry E. Ward Dies in Hospital, Services Saturday

Mrs. Harry E. Ward of 98 Stevens St. died yesterday in Jones Memorial Hospital after being in poor health for some time.

Mrs. Ward the former Katherine Shields, was born in Alma and was the daughter of the late John and Lucilla Foland Shields.  She was married Oct 8, 1906 to Harry Ward who survives with several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Ward operated Ward’s Jewelry Store here for many years.

The Rev. Richard Clark, Pastor of St. John’s Episcopal Church, will officiate at the funeral services at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon from th Embser Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The body is at the funeral home where friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 0'clock in the afternoon and evening.
