Wellsville’s New Railroad

It is with great satisfaction that The Reporter announces that any doubts as to the ultimate and speedy construction and completion of the railroad now graded from this village to the State line on through Brookland and Pike Mills, on Pine Creek, thence to intersect and cooperate with several converging lines.

On Saturday of this week the Directors of four of these projected railroads are to meet at Bradford, when definite organization will be made and the work fully insured.

This will give to our growing and thriving village a fresh impetus and new life. It will retain to us the natural flow of trade from a considerable area of Potter County, and add the inestimable advantages of an outlet for the coal, bark and lumber of that region, securing added growth and a future prosperity to Wellsville the importance of which cannot easily be measured.

The assurances are based upon statements made to the editor by Elmira as well as home capitalists, who have definitely decided to act. Congratulations are, therefore, safely in order.
