Obituary for Raymond Hilligas
Raymond C. Hilligas, 74 of Wellsville RD 1, died at Jones Memorial Hospital Saturday after a long illness.
He was born in the Town of Willing and was a life-long resident of the area. He was employed by Turbodyne Corp. in Wellsville for 29 years and owned and operated a dairy farm for 30 years, retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Shongo United Methodist Church, the Yorks Corners Grange Hall No. 1267, the F & AM Lodge No. 230 in Wellsville and a member of Corning Constory for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife Hazel; two caughters, Mrs Rudolph Briggs of Yorks Corners and Mrs Matthew Knepfer of Stannards; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the J.W. Embser & Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville from 2 to 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Monday. A funeral will be at the funeral home 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Olowsky officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville. Memorials may be made to the charity of the person's choice.
